In this inclusive multi-sensory contemporary art exhibition, Sunshine Coast artist, Katrin Terton, makes her works accessible for visitors of all abilities and especially those who are blind or vision-impaired. The artworks can be experienced in various ways, for example through touch, sound, smell, sight and imagination. The use of organic and salvaged materials evokes thoughts about our environment and the non-descriptive nature of the works inspires individual sense making.
Visitors are encouraged to explore their senses "beyond sight" and even beyond the traditional senses. Katrin hopes this exhibition will encourage dialogue between visitors and more awareness around vision-impairment and the use of our senses.
